Racial and Socioeconomic Disparities in Patients with Meningioma
In this CME, Hudin N. Jackson-Sarnor, MD discusses how to describe the epidemiology of meningioma and the racial differences in incidence and outcomes reported in the literature, compare presentation, hospital course, and resource use between White and minority patients undergoing meningioma resection, identify which factors predicted recurrence-free survival in this cohort, and discuss how access to subspecialty care may drive disparities, and how diagnostic delay might be reduced.
