Advances in Cardiac Transplantation
In this CME, Dave Kaczorowski, MD discusses how to recognize how changes in the heart transplant allocation system have impacted care of patients with advanced heart failure, describe the evolution of strategies involving organ preservation and transport, identify strategies for increasing the number of donor hearts available for transplantation, and have an overview of some novel strategies for cardiac replacement that are currently under study and in development.
