Indications for Hip Arthroscopy

Dr. Craig S. Mauro discusses causes of non-arthritic hip pain and provides non-operative and surgical treatment options. Dr.  Mauro also presents on Femoroacetabular Impingement and describes arthroscopic treatment.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the causes of non-arthritic hip pain and utilize history, physical examination, and radiographic interpretation skills to more accurately diagnose and implement treatment strategies for patients
  • Recall appropriate, evidence-based non-operative treatment strategies for non-arthritic hip disorders
  • Recognize when patients should be referred for evaluation for surgical management of non-arthritic hip pain, explain preoperative and postoperative care, and implement surgical techniques
