  • Drs. Ryan McEnaney and Natalie Sridharan discuss how aortic endarterectomy can provide symptoms relieve in selective cases when the aortic pathology is locally confined.
  • Dr. Theodore Yuo talks about endovascular management of Abdominal Aortic Pseudoaneurysm associated with an accessory renal artery.
  • Drs. Mohammad H. Eslami, Scott Chapman, and Kathryn Fong also discuss the diagnosis and management of secondary Aortoenteric Fistula.
  • Drs. Rabih Chaer and Kathryn Fong review bilateral Iliac Artery Branch Endoprosthesis use for bilateral common Iliac Artery Aneurysms and the need for internal Iliac Artery preservation.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the appropriate use of aortobifemoral bypass for severe aortoiliac occlusive disease 
  • Identify proper diagnoses and implement appropriate treatment options for patients with secondary aortoenteric fistula
  • Recognize the use of bilateral iliac artery branch endoprosthesis and the need for internal iliac artery preservation
  • Discuss the techniques and benefits of aortic endarterectomy for aortic occlusive disease   
  • Identify the guidelines set by the Society of Vascular Surgeons in terms of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA)
