Cardiac Amyloidosis: Novel Imaging Techniques and Overview
Dr. Prem Soman presents case studies with cardiac amyloidosis and explains genotypes and phenotypes of common transthyretin (TTR) mutations.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify the “clinical alerts” for wild type ATTR cardiac amyloidosis
- Explain the importance of Tc-99 PYP scans in the field
- Describe making a diagnosis using PYP and monoclonal protein
